 Dave Swarbrick and

Gina Le Faux

Dave Swarbrick was born in London and moved to Yorkshire when only three months old. At the age of six he learnt the rudiments of the fiddle from the local fiddler, Mr. Bootham.  And he’s been playing ever since. Dave is a legendary figure on the Folk Scene, he achieved this status for his work with The Ian Campbell Folk Group, Fairport Convention, Martin Carthy and Whippersnapper.

Gina was born and raised in Liverpool and has been playing traditional dance music for most of her life. She was the last pupil of the late James Carmichael of Ballymena, traditional fiddle player and singer. Gina was a member of Shetland band Hom Bru, The Tannahill Weavers, Shegui, Red Shift and John Kirkpatrick’s “Wassail” band and is a well known solo performer.    Dave and Gina have been friends for many years and between them they have worked with just about everyone on the Folk/Roots music scene and performed all over the world! They have now decided to combine their virtuosity, wit and love of fiddle music and have teamed up to create some of the most exciting fiddle music you are likely to hear.
