The
founders of Streetworthy, Phil and Sorrel came
together in 1996 at University to raise a family and work/travel
with their music as Streetworthy. They have travelled
and played their way around Britain, Ireland, Spain, Portugal,
Canada, USA and New Zealand.
STREETWORTHY ARE: -
Phil Harty, (vocals, fiddle, mandolin,) fronts
Streetworthy with his strong vocals, steady rhythmic fiddle style
and light-hearted banter.
Sorrel Harty, (vocals, piano, accordion, oboe,
whistles) provides instinctive harmony vocals and solid
piano/accordion playing for the Streetworthy distinctive sound!!
Pat Flood, (vocals, double bass), took to the bass
over twenty years ago inspired by American popular music culture of
the 1940's/50's. Since then he has played extensively with rock 'n'
roll, rockabilly, country and blues line-ups throughout Britain,
Ireland, Germany, Holland, France and USA
Harold Dearden, (vocals, percussion, guitar,
ukulele, harmonica), holds down the solid core of Streetworthy's
sound drawing on his vast experience with countless bands and
musical genres from rock to jazz
Martin Ellison, (melodeon), is well respected as a
musician's musician, and a champion to the cause of traditional
English music.
